I got mine a couple months ago and I’m totally surrendered!

”Mas para que é que é necessária uma máscara diferente para os cílios inferiores?”. Por vários motivos:
  • Se usarmos a mesma máscara nos cílios inferiores que usamos nos superiores, o mais provável é que acabe tudo borrado; 
  • Tanto o aplicador como as cerdas têm um comprimento muito menor, facilitando o acesso a tooooodos os pelinhos criando aquele efeito de ”aranha”; 
  • Somos mulheres e mais um produto de maquilhagem nunca fez mal a ninguém!

”But why do you need a different mascara for the bottom lashes?”, you may ask. For several reasons: 
  • If you use the same mascara as you use on your upper lashes, you’ll most likely end up with a hot mess under your eyes; 
  • The applicator and the bristles are a lot shorter, which makes it easier to access those tiny tiny lashes and create that spider effect; 
  • We’re women and another makeup product never hurt anyone!

A embalagem é muito mais pequena do que as máscaras para os cílios superiores, mas a marca garante que contém produto suficiente para três meses. Eu tenho as pestanas longas, apesar de pouco definidas, e sempre que quero fazer um olho mais ”carregado”, para a noite por exemplo, recorro à máscara para conferir mais drama ao olhar.
The packaging is much smaller than your regular mascara, but the brand ensures us that this package gives us a 9-month supply. I have pretty long lashes, although roughly defined, and when I’m into making a ”bolder” eye, to go out at night for example, I always apply this mascara to give the eye a more dramatic effect.
Da primeira vez que a tentei retirar com desmaquilhante para os olhos não correu muito bem e no dia seguinte tinha autênticos olhos de panda. Foi então que fui ao site da marca e percebi que a máscara é para ser retirada com água morna, gentilmente pressionando os cílios, e o produto sai facilmente.
O produto pode ser adquirido nas perfumarias que vendem Clinique, como a Sephora e a Perfumes e Companhia.
The first time I tried to remove the mascara with my regular eye makeup remover, it didn’t go so well and I woke up the next day with total panda eyes. Then I went searching in the brand’s website and found out you’re supposed to gently press the lashes with warm water and it comes out with ease.

Para encerrar as fotos da viagem, trago-vos um bocadinho daquele que é um dos meus restaurantes preferidos em Johannesburg. Não consigo estar na cidade sem ir jantar, pelo menos uma vez, ao Mezepoli!

These are the last pictures of my trip and they are from one of my favourite restaurants in Johannesburg. I can’t go to the city without having at least one meal at Mezepoli!

O espaço costuma estar cheio de verdadeiros amantes de vinho e da comida mediterrânea. A comida é de chorar por mais!
The place is usually packed with mediterranean food and wine lovers, and the food is to die for!
O nosso pedido foi: queijo haloumi grelhado, húmus, falafel, croquetes de queijo, alcachofras, salada grega, pão de pita, lulas grelhadas, almôndegas e cogumelos exóticos.
Our order was: grilled haloumi, houmous dip, falafel, croquettes, artichokes, greek salad, pita bread, calamari, meatballs and exotic mushrooms. 
Depois de comer o suficiente para alimentar o país por uns bons meses, ficámo-nos pelo chá…
After eating enough food to feed the entire country for several months, we only asked for some tea…

Há sítios que nos marcam a memória para sempre. Eu posso dizer que já viajei bastante e nunca, em nenhum dos países onde estive, encontrei um local tão marcante como este.
O Oliver’s encontra-se em White River, South Africa, num local onde o campo se funde com a savana e o ar puro com a vida selvagem.
There are places that leave a mark forever. I can say that I have traveled a lot and never, in none of the countries I’ve been, I encountered a place so remarkable as this.
Oliver’s is located in White River, South Africa, a place where the country merges with the savannah and fresh air with the wildlife.

A poucos quilómetros do Kruger Park, a maior área de conservação da fauna da África do Sul, é possível relaxar no conforto do Lodge depois de um emocionante safari pelo parque.
A few kilometers from Kruger Park, the largest wildlife conservation in South Africa, you can relax in the comfort of the Lodge after an exciting safari through the park.
A minha paragem no Oliver’s foi apenas para uma refeição, mas são inúmeras as vezes que já lá passei fins-de-semana e pequenas férias da escola.
My stop in Oliver’s was just for a meal this time, but I’ve already spent countless weekends and small school holidays in this place.

As ervas e algumas verduras usadas na confecção dos pratos são colhidas do jardim que pode ser visitado pelos visitantes. Direto da horta para o prato, podia ser melhor?!
Herbs and some vegetables used in some of the dishes are harvested from the garden that can be visited by visitors. Straight from the garden to the plate, could it get any better?!
Depois de matar as saudades do local, era altura de matar o bichinho da fome.
After walking through the garden it was time to sit down and enjoy a delightful meal.
Pão caseiro e molho de berinjelas assadas.
Homemade bread and roasted eggplant dip.
Salada feita com verduras da horta, queijo gorgonzola, pêras bêbedas, abacate, nozes tostadas e wafers de massa phyllo.
Garden Greens with creamy Gorgonzola, red wine pears, avocado, toasted pecan nuts and phyllo wafers.
Fillet de vaca com chamussas de rabo de touro, servido sobre uma cama de puré de batata e cenoura, acompanhado de legumes grelhados.
Succulent beef fillet served with oxtail rissoles, light potato mash set on a carrot puree.
Eu escolhi o risotto de camarão e vinho branco… hummm, só de ver a foto fico a babar!
Depois do almoço fomos dar uma volta em Casterbridge, um centro comercial ao ar livre onde basicamente só se vendem peças artesanais. Infelizmente era domingo e as lojas estavam fechadas #fail

I went for the creamy white wine and shrimp risotto topped with grilled prawns… hmmm, just look at it!
After lunch we went for a walk around Casterbridge, a lifestyle centre where you can buy all sorts of handicrafts . Unfortunately it was sunday and the stores were closed #fail
Recomendo muito que visitem este centro, caso passem por White River. É super acolhedor e há sempre várias actividades a decorrer: provas de vinho, passeio de póneis e uma área de ”recreio” para os mais pequeninos, etc. Além de que a restauração tem uma oferta excelente!
I highly recommend visiting this center, if you happen to pass by White River. It’s super cozy and there are always several ongoing activities: wine tasting, ponies riding and a” recreational area” for the little ones, etc.. Besides the restaurants there are great! 
Esta lojinha é um must! É o paraíso do chocolate e eles vendem todo o tipo de bonbons homemade e têm até uma mega fonte de chocolate onde podemos encher os copinhos que eles vendem com chocolate derretido. YUM!
This shop is a must! It is the paradise of chocolate and they sell all kinds of homemade chocolates and even have a mega chocolate fountain where we can fill up the cups they sell with melted chocolate. YUM!

Eu sou a maior geek no que toca a… bem, basicamente tudo. Mas essencialmente no que toca a tecnologia! Estou sempre à procura de aparelhos e aplicações que me facilitem a vida e tornem tudo muito mais dinâmico e divertido. Há umas semanas descobri esta app que, na minha opinião, é super útil! As fotos são bastante explicativas, mas basicamente é uma app que faz download de vídeos do youtube e podemos vê-los mesmo estando offline. 
I am the biggest geek when it comes to… well, everything mostly. But specially when it comes to technology! I’m always in search for new devices and apps that will make my life easier and make everything more dynamic and fun. A few weeks ago I discovered this app that, in my opinion, is super useful! The pictures above are pretty self explanatory, but basically what it does is it dowloads videos from youtube so you can watch them offline

Para mim esta app faz todo o sentido, porque eu passo a vida no youtube e há bastantes vídeos que gosto de guardar para ver quando me apetecer. Corram lá para a App Store! ;)

This app makes total sense to me because I spend half my life on youtube and there are a lot of videos I like to save and watch whenever I want. Run to the app store, guys! ;)

Quando tinha 12 anos o meu corpo resolveu crescer à velocidade da luz e, em poucos meses, fiquei com proporções de uma mulher adulta. Com esse crescimento repentino vieram as tão indesejadas estrias e a partir daí a busca pelo melhor creme começou. Não só notei que a pele começou a ficar mais uniforme, como também melhorou a elasticidade e a tonicidade. O creme previne o aparecimento de estrias, assim como ”camufla” as existentes, visto que as estrias não se eliminam. É também aconselhado para as rugas, mas quanto a isso ainda não posso ter opinião, felizmente =)

Not only did I notice my skin starting to look smoother, but it also improved its elasticity and tonicity. It prevents the skin from having new stretch marks and it also ”camouflages” the existing ones, since you can’t fully eliminate stretch marks. It’s also recommended in case of deep wrinkles, but I can’t give you an opinion on that yet, thankfully =)
