Quando eu fiz 18 anos a minha mãe sentou-me no sofá e teve ”a conversa” comigo. Não, não é essa conversa que estão a pensar. É uma bastante mais séria, a meu ver, e que tem bastante influência no futuro de uma jovem. Falo-vos do cuidado com os olhos, mais propriamente ao redor destes, para prevenir o aparecimento de rugas prematuras, olheiras e manchas.
Para uma beauty-freak como eu, foi das coisas mais emocionantes que já ouvi e o meu lado mais consumista (a maior parte do meu corpo e alma) só pensava: já tenho desculpa para comprar mais um produto!
Comecei por só usar o gel de contorno da Clarins, mas este lançamento da Estée Lauder foi a desculpa perfeita para aperfeiçoar o meu combate às rugas futuras.

When I was 18 years old, my mom sat me down and had ”the talk” with me. Not that talk, another one. A much more serious one which, for me, has a lot more impact on a young woman’s future. I’m talking about eye care, the area around them to be more accurate, to prevent the appearance of premature wrinkles, dark spots and under-eye circles.
To a beauty-freak like me, this was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever heard and my most consumerist side (the majority of my body and soul) thought: another excuse to buy more products!
I started using the eye contour gel by Clarins about a year ago, but these Estée Lauder little pot was the perfect excuse to improve my fight against future wrinkles.

O Advanced Night Repair Eye tem uma textura sedosa de um serum-gel e tem como função reduzir os sinais de envelhecimento na zona ao redor dos olhos. Como a pele nessa zona é extremamente mais fina e delicada do que no resto do rosto, este produto ajuda na reparação das células da pele prevenindo rugas, linhas, olheiras, inchaço, secura e manchas. Utilizo-o à noite, antes de aplicar o tónico, com leves batidinhas com o dedo anelar ao redor dos olhos (a zona das olheiras, a zona dos ”pés-de-galinha” e o restante passo abaixo da sobrancelha). Comecei a usar este pequeno milagroso há cerca de três semanas, por isso não vos posso dar um review pessoal muito detalhado, visto que ainda não passou tempo suficiente para ver resultados. No entanto, toda a gente que usa este produto há algum tempo diz que é a melhor coisa de sempre e nunca o trocariam por outro. A minha mãe tem-no usado há bastante tempo e as poucas linhas que ela tem (que nem são rugas!) mal são perceptíveis aos 50 anos. É o produto ideal para usar com o Advanced Night Repair para o rosto.

The Advanced Night Repair Eye has a smooth serum-gel texture and it is supposed to reduce the signs of aging around the eye area. Since your skin around the eyes is a lot thinner, this product helps repairing it, preventing wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, puffiness, dryness and uneven skintone. I apply it at night, before I apply the toner, gently with my ring finger (on the dark circles area, on the outer sides of my eyes and under my eyebrows). I’ve only been using it for three weeks now, so I can’t give you an in dept review on this. But everyone who’s used this for a few years says it’s the best thing ever and they wouldn’t trade it for any other product. My mom has used this product for the longest time and she barely has any wrinkles around the eyes at 50 years old. It is also the best product to use along with the Advanced Night Repair.

Aplico o gel de contorno da Clarins de manhã, visto que ele é mais leve e refrescante que o da Estée Lauder. É o primeiro produto que aplico quando saio do banho e ele deixa imediatamente um efeito fresco ao redor dos olhos, o que nos faz sentir mais acordadas instantaneamente. Não é exactamente um produto que previne as rugas por si só, mas é hidratante e ajuda a diminuir a aparência das olheiras e inchaços, o que é perfeito para as manhãs, e ajuda a maquilhagem a durar mais tempo na zona dos olhos.
Estou a adorar este duo e acho muito importante usar produtos diferentes de manhã e à noite, pois as necessidades da pele são diferentes (e não estou a dizer isto só porque gosto de comprar coisas!).
Juntamente com o protector solar, os produtos para o redor dos olhos são essenciais no que toca a preservar a nossa juventude exterior por muito mais tempo.

I’ve been using the Eye Contour Gel by Clarins in the morning, since it is lighter and more refreshing gel than the Estée Lauder. It’s also the first product I apply to my face after washing it and it leaves a fresh cold feeling that makes you feel awake right away. It’s not exactly an anti-wrinkle product, it does more when it comes to hydrating and preventing dark circles and puffiness. Which is great to use in the morning, right before you apply your makeup. 
I’m loving this combo so far and I find it important to actually use different products at night and in the morning, since your skin necessities are different (I’m not saying this just because I like to buy stuff). 
Alongside sun protection, eye products are also very important when it comes to preserving your outer youth for a longer time.

A minha pele é oleosa com tendência acneíca e por isso o tema ”base” sempre foi muito bem estudado por mim. Para quem tem uma pele mais propensa às não desejadas borbulhas e aos pontos negros, é importante ter especial atenção a certas características da base: fórmula, tipo de cobertura, ingredientes (evitar, por exemplo, certos óleos, miristatos, manteiga de coco ou ácido láurico), e dar prioridade aos produtos que são não-comedónicos, sem parabenos, sem sulfatos e sem óleo.
As três bases que vos mostro são usadas em ocasiões diferentes umas das outras.

My skin is oily and acne-prone so the subject ”foundation” has always been a think-well-before-you-buy thing for me. For those of you who are more likely to get those non desired pimples and blackheads, it’s important to be extra careful with what kind of foundation you put on your face, paying attention to this like: formulation, coverage, ingredients (avoid, for example, anything that contains isopropyl isostearate, isopropyl myristate, myristyl myristate, lanolin oil, coconut butter or lauric acid) and give priority to products labeled as non-comedogenic, paraben-free, sulfate-free and oil-free.
This three foundations I’m showing you are used in different occasions each from another.

A true match da L’Oréal é daquelas bases que todas nós devíamos ter na gaveta da maquilhagem. De entre as várias qualidades, tem SPF 17, não contém óleos, deixa a pele bem sequinha e é a mais fácil de aplicar. Ela adapta-se perfeitamente ao tom da nossa pele (além de ter mais de 30 tons por onde escolher) e ficamos com um aspecto clean sem ninguém reparar que estamos a usar base. Tem uma cobertura média e pode-se ir aplicando mais camadas consoante o efeito que pretendemos, sem perder o aspecto natural. Uso-a no dia-a-dia quando preciso de uma melhor cobertura.

L’Oréal true match is a must-have in any girls’ makeup draw. Amongst its many qualities, it has SPF 17, it’s oil-free, it leaves your skin feeling matte all day and it is sooooooo easy to blend. It adapts perfectly to your skin tone and texture (you can’t go wrong with their over 30 tones range) and you end up with a fresh look without looking like you’re wearing makeup. It’s is medium coverage and you can build up as you need, without loosing the natural look. I use this foundation during daytime in days when I need better coverage.

A Ever Matte da Clarins é uma base incrível, que além de funcionar como maquilhagem, também é excelente para controlar a oleosidade da pele devido ao seu efeito ”Skin Detox” (composta por plantas, regula a produção de sebo e fecha os poros). Tem cobertura leve a média e deixa uma fina camada de produto que deixa a pele respirar, mantendo-a mate por bastante tempo. É super indicada para quem tem a pele oleosa, é não-comedónica, sem óleo e tem SPF 15. Esta é uma base excelente para o dia-a-dia, porque ajuda no equilíbrio da pele em vez de impedir que esta respire. Utilizo-a mais do que a da L’Oréal, por ser bastante mais leve.

Ever Matte by Clarins is an amazing foundation that doesn’t only work as makeup but it’s also amazing as a skincare complement. It controles the oil production due to its ”Skin Detox” effect (plant-based, it regulates production of sebum and tightens pores). It has light to medium coverage and leaves a thin layer of product that actually allows your skin to breathe, keeping it matte throughout the day. It’s recommended for people with acne-prone skin, because it is non-comedogenic, oil-free and has SPF 15. It’s excellent for everyday use, because it actually helps balancing your skin instead of keeping it from breading. I use this one more than the L’Oréal since it is a lot lighter and, again, skin-friendly.

Não tenho palavras para descrever a Double Wear. Os reviews que li desta base foram o suficiente para a querer logo: cobertura muito alta, de excelente duração e amiga da nossa pele. E é mesmo isso! É a melhor base que já usei, dura o dia todooooooo e tem uma cobertura excelente sem parecermos um autêntico bolo. É oil-free, controla a oleosidade e, apesar da sua cobertura alta, pode-se usar até em climas humidos e quentes. Uso-a mais à noite, quando quero fazer uma maquilhagem mais elaborada e quero a pele com um aspecto impecável. É como uma segunda pele, com todos os upgrades que nós merecemos. Vence o prémio de melhor base, na minha opinião!

I have no words to describe my beloved Double Wear. The reviews I saw on this foundation where enough to make me want it right away: super high coverage, lasts all day looking impeccable and is skin-friendly. And it’s all true! It’s the best foundation I’ve ever used, let’s not get started on how long it lasts and has great high coverage without making you look like a wedding cake. Oil-free, regulates oil production and, even though it’s high coverage, it lasts through heat and humidity. I use this one when I go out at night and want to do a fancier makeup, because I need my skin to be flawless all night. It feels like a second skin, but an improved one like we all deserve. This foundation wins the 1st place award, for me!

Tenho várias outras bases que gosto bastante, de marcas como a Make Up For Ever e a Benefit, mas estas são realmente as minhas preferidas. Nenhuma delas tem o sistema de pump, o que para muitas raparigas é um aspecto negativo, mas eu até prefiro assim. 
Durante muito tempo achei que não podia usar base, por ter a pele oleosa. Pensava que mal usasse, ia ficar com a cara cheia de borbulhas. E, apesar de isso acontecer com a maioria dos produtos, só precisamos de respeitar a natureza da nossa pele e optar por produtos que na maioria dos casos até ajudam a controlar pequenos problemas. Hoje em dia há muitas marcas que têm bastante atenção às necessidades dos diferentes tipos de pele e criam fórmulas que nos fazem mais bem do que mal, é só uma questão de estarmos informadas.

I have other foundations I like, from brands like Make Up For Ever and Benefit, but these truly are my favourites. None of them have the pump system, which is a downside for most girls, but I actually like it that way.
For the longest time I thought I couldn’t wear foundation because the minute I put it on my face I’d get huge pimples and my skin would look terrible once I removed the makeup. Little did I know, all I need to do is to research a bit on the brand I was buying and make sure it is appropriate for my skin. Nowadays, makeup brands not only care about making beautiful makeup, but also about assuring they have a wide range for every skin type you might have. Just be informed.

Como vos tinha dito neste post, o FLOWERBOMB Eau de Parfum era o próximo perfume que ia comprar. Aproveitei a altura dos saldos pós-Natal e adquiri-o com 25% de desconto na Perfumes&Companhia.
Vem numa caixa cor-de-rosa pálida enorme (que quando me lembrei de fotografar, já ela estava no lixo há alguns dias), juntamente com uma miniatura do perfume para termos na mala. Dentro da caixa, temos este lindo frasco de 100ml daquele que é actualmente o meu perfume preferido.
O frasco representa a delicadeza de uma pedra preciosa e a doçura das flores e da feminilidade e, por outro lado, o anel preto com o selo representam o perigo de uma bomba (explosão).

As I told you in this post, FLOWERBOMB Eau de Parfum was the next perfume I was going to buy.
I waited for the after-Christmas sales and bought it with 25% off in Perfumes&Companhia.
It comes in a huge pale pink box (which was in the garbage when I remembered to photograph it), with an extra mini perfume attached perfect to carry with you in your bag. Inside the big box, you find your beautiful 100ml bottle of my favourite scent.

O líquido em si tem uma cor rosada, alusiva às notas florais do próprio perfume. Segundo a marca, este aroma explosivo tem a capacidade de transformar algo negativo em positivo e dá-nos a sensação de estarmos constantemente no nosso jardim secreto de flores. Tem um aroma a rosas, com um ligeiro toque adocicado mas sem ser enjoativo, é super fresco e é daqueles perfumes discretos mas que nos dão um certo statement. As notas são de jasmim sambac, rosa centifolia, frésia e orquídea catléia. O estilo é oriental e floral.

The liquid itself is rose toned and, according to the brand, the flower explosion that composes the scent has the power to transform negative into positive and gives us the sensation of always being in our private rose garden. It has a rose scent, with a slightly sweet note, it’s super fresh and one of those perfumes that are not overpowering but do make a statement. The notes are sambac jasmine, centifolia rose, cattleya orchid, ballerina freesia and patchouli. The style is oriental, gourmand and floral.

Um dos aspectos mais positivos do perfume é que dura o dia todo. Não faz sentido nenhum gastar dinheiro num perfume que mal se nota em nós passadas duas horas, mas este é daqueles que se sente ao fim da tarde como se tivéssemos acabado de o vaporizar.
Ele custa €120,50 (tamanho 100ml), o que não é um preço muito acessível, por isso aproveitem agora a altura dos saldos.

One of my favourite aspects of this perfume is that it lasts on you ALL day. It doesn’t really make sense to spend a lot of money on a scent that will only last a couple hours on your skin, but you can smell this one all throughout the day as you’ve just sprayed it.

Encontrar o batom nude perfeito para os nossos lábios pode ser uma tarefa difícil, principalmente quando a oferta é tanta e não sabemos por onde começar. Dependendo do nosso tom de pele, ele pode ter tons mais neutros, como o bege e o creme, ou pode ser num tom mais rosado.
No meu caso, a minha pele é olive e os tons rosa nos lábios favorecem-me mais, ao contrários dos beges que me deixam com a boca ”morta”.
Depois de experimentar todos os nudes existentes na MAC, trouxe comigo o Creme Cup.

Finding the perfect nude lipstick that really compliments us can turn into a very difficult task, especially when you have so many to choose from and don’t know exactly where to start. According to your skintone, you can either rock a more beige or caramel undertoned lipstick or a pink undertoned one.
In my case, since I have olive skin, the rosy ones look better on me whilst the others make my mouth look ”dead”.
After trying every single nude lipsticks in the MAC store, I brought with me the beautiful Creme Cup.

Ele tem um acabamento cremesheen, o que lhe confere um certo brilho, hidratação e uma pigmentação que parece que estamos a usar baton e gloss. 
É um nude com tons rosados que fica bem com qualquer maquilhagem, principalmente como complemento a um smokye eye ou algo mais dramático nos olhos. Vai ser a minha escolha para a passagem de ano!
It is cremesheen, which gives it a subtle shimmer, very good hidration and a pretty pigmentation that makes it look like your wearing lipstick and gloss on top.
It is a nude with rosy undertones that goes well with every makeup you decide to do, especially as a complement to a smokye eye or a more dramatic eye look. It will be my choice for the new year’s eve!

Finalmente recebi a minha Naked3! Se as outras duas paletas se assemelhavam no facto de serem compostas por tons mais nude e matte, esta destaca-se pela dominância dos tons rosa e com mais sombras brilhantes. Isto foi o suficiente para me convencer. Apesar de adorar uma make mais neutra, um pouquinho de cor e brilho não faz mal a ninguém, além de que é possível criar infinitos looks com estas 12 sombras!
I finally receiver my Naked3! If the other palettes were very similar when it comes to having more nude and matte shadows, this one is a breath of fresh air for having more rose-hued shadows, both matte and shimmering. This was just enough to convince me. Even though I love a neutral makeup, a bit of color and glitter never hurt anybody, and you can create a million looks with these 12 shadows!

Para começar, a embalagem é linda e obviamente a mais bonita das três: num tom ouro-rosa, com as letras douradas e com relevo. A caixa em si é ”dura”, assim como a Naked2, o que é uma grande melhoria em relação à Naked original e traz, mais uma vez, o enorme espelho que tem o comprimento da embalagem.

First of all, this is a gorgeous packaging and obviously the prettiest of the Naked family: it is rosegold with golden 3D letters. It’s a hardcase, just like Naked2, which is a huge improvement from the first Naked and brings, once again, the big mirror that is always a part of a Naked palette.

O primeiro tom é quase branco e é geralmente usado para iluminar abaixo das sobrancelhas, para dar aquele push up ao olhar, e para iluminar o canto interno do olho. Seguem-se então os tons rosa, a maioria com brilho e alguns tons mais nude e matte, um tom mais dourado com brilho, outros mais bronze, também com brilho e no final um tom grafite com brilho e um preto matte com partículas de glitter vermelho, daí entitulado ”Blackheart”.

The first shadow is a very pale almost white tone and it’s used to highlight under your brow bone, giving you a push up look, and also to highlight the inner corner of your eyes. You then have the rose-hued shadows, most of them have a shimmer to it, some are more on the nude side and you also get a more golden shadow, a grafitte one and a matte black with rosy red glitter called ”Blackheart” (genious!).

Além das 12 sombras, a embalagem traz também um pincel de duas pontas, uma para aplicar a sombra nas pálpebras e outra mais indicada para esfumar no canto externo do olho, e ainda quatro amostras de primers que duram para cerca de uma semana de aplicações.

Besides the 12 shadows, you also get a double-ended eye brush, one end works well when applying the shadow on your lid and the other is great for smoking it out. You also get a four sample primer pack that should last you about a week or so.

Claro que é absurdo pensarem que devem ter as três paletas da Naked, a não ser que sejam maquilhadoras profissionais e realmente precisem. Eu tenho a 2 e a 3 e garanto-vos que é muito mais do que eu preciso no que toca a tons mais neutros e, para quem gosta de maquilhagens mais discretas, uma destas paletas é um excelente investimento pois têm imensa qualidade, duram bastante tempo e são super versáteis.
Podem adiquirir a Naked3 no site oficial da Urban Decay (52$) ou numa Sephora (46€) que tenha stock (caso contrário, eles aceitam encomendas).

Of course I don’t expect you guys to feel like you need all the Naked family in your life, only if you are a makeup artist and you will actually use all of the shadows. I have the second and this one and can assure you that it is way enough shadows for one girl when it comes to neutral tones. And if you also love a more neutral eye look, one of this palettes is a great investment, for they have great quality, they last a tone of time and are super versatile.
